Salo: Our party will move on without ‘combative, ungentlemanly’ Roque

Kabayan partylist Rep. Ron Salo said it is unfortunate that his soon-to-be-former colleague Harry Roque has chosen to remain bitter about their feud after the latter’s appointment as President Rodrigo Duterte’s spokesperson.

“The Kabayan Party-list and I have been civil, proper, and correct throughout our exchanges with Mr. Harry Roque. We even congratulated him in his new role,” he said.

“It is unfortunate that even after he has assumed what should be a responsible position, he has elected to continue his combative, ungentlemanly, and irresponsible behavior,” Salo said.

Salo said the party would move on and continue its work without Roque.

“KABAYAN Party-list and I have long chosen to move on with our advocacies without Mr. Roque. We hope he would be able to move on and assume his new role without past baggage to be able to fully perform his functions as Presidential Spokesperson,” he added.
